6. The Diwali

 

Diwali means ‘row of lights’. It is an important Hindu festival. It comes off in November. Rama came back to Ayodhya on this day. Guru Har Govind was set free by the Mughal Emperor on this day. The festival is celebrated in every village and town. Houses and shops are whitewashed. Beautiful pictures are hung on the walls. People buy sweets and toys. They light candles at night. Children fire crackers. Everyone looks happy. Some people gamble on this day. It is an evil. It should be ended.


  Diwali, Dussehra ESSAY

Dussehra is a most important Hindu festival celebrated every year by the Hindu people all over the country. It is a religious and cultural festival which every kids and children must know. In the schools and colleges, essay writing is a common and most effective way to enhance knowledge and skill of the students.

Diwali is known as the festival of lights or row of lights which is the symbol of coming of Lakshmi to the home and victory of truth over the evil. At this day Lord Rama had killed the demon king of Lanka, Ravan in order to save the earth from the bad activities. People do whitewash and clean up of their houses, offices, and shops to welcome the Lakshmi. They decorate their houses, lighting lamps and firing crackers.

There is also another story for the celebration of Dussehra festival. Dussehra festival is celebrated in the honour of Durga Maa who killed the demon Mahisasura.Boys and Girls of the Schools and Colleges enjoy their holidays on this day. On this day, everyone put on their new clothes and enjoy the festival with great joy.
