A Birthday Party ESSAY

7. A Birthday Party

My friend, Anil, gave a party on his birthday. He invited all his friends. The party was at his house. I reached his house at 6 p.m. There was a great hustle and bustle. A big cake was placed on a table. All of us stood round the table. Anil cut the cake with a knife. All of us chanted three times: ‘Happy Birthday To You.’ Then the cake was served to all. It was very tasty. There were many things to eat. We ate to our heart’s content. There was singing and dancing also.

A Birthday Party ESSAY

Last year I celebrated my birthday exactly the way I wanted to. My parents had told me that I could ask them for anything on my birthday and I asked them to arrange a grand party for my friends.

My mother is my best friend when it comes to inviting my friends home. She helped me to make invitation cards and to fill them up with names. The cake was very  beautiful  with colourful icing and big chunks of chocolate. My friends and family members sang birthday song for me and they wished me a very happy birthday.

By 5:30 p.m., my friend’s father had also returned back. So at 5:45 p.m., we had the cutting of the cake amidst a lot of clappings and singing of the birthday song. Aunty had brought in the cake beautifully placed in a lovely platter and the knife too had a bow tied to it. My friend proudly blew out the 17 candles, made a wish and cut the cake.
